I sent Barb a letter in the spring of 2015. Her home had been listed for sale by two agents since Barb was in Arizona for the winter months. I had a client who was very interested in her home and had looked at the property a few months prior. My client was interested in the home but it was a bit out of their price range. I spoke with Barb and set up a date that I could meet with her and discuss my buyers offer on her home. Barb was not interested in my buyer’s offer but we got along well and she asked if I could help her with the sale of her home. She had already canceled the listing she had with her other real estate agents.

Barb was set on getting at least $1,000,000 for her home and asked my advice on what changes she should make in order for her home to sell for that price. Her home was over 4,500 sq. feet had a three stale garage and sat on a third acre of land. The home had a wonderful location in a cul-de-sac. The home also had 5.1 bathrooms. I suggested that she change her hardware from brass to silver to make the home look more updated. I also suggested that she replace her old kitchen appliances with new stainless steel ones. She followed my directions and it helped to make her home sell right away.

I stayed in touch with Barb as she made the updates to her home. I was pleased to see her progress and how the improvements were improving the value of her

home. By June of 2016 Barb had made most of the changes to her home and wanted to put it back on the market. I had my assistance arrange furniture and make the home more attractive to buyers. The home was put on the market again the beginning of July and we received an offer on the home the second day it was on the market for more than what the list price was.

The sale of the property was a success because Barb followed the suggestions I made and we worked

together to sell her home. I also helped her put in an offer on a smaller property in Northbrook that better fit her house needs. I was able to help her sell her large home and get a smaller easier to maintain home. I really enjoyed working with Barb.
